Malnutrition Awareness Week

14th October, 2021

It’s UK Malnutrition Awareness Week (UKMAW) on 11th-17th October 2021, UKMAW was co-founded in 2018 by BAPEN & the Malnutrition Task Force. Aiming to raise awareness and understanding the risks of preventable malnutrition across different sectors and settings, in local communities.

#UKMAW2021 focus is to Ask, Look, Listen

We really are all in this together and if we all play our part together, we can become stronger to raise awareness and tackle preventable malnutrition and dehydration. We know that before COVID19 the risk of malnutrition in the community was a huge problem for older people.
Malnutrition Task Force

Early in the lockdown, we used CDF grants to help support the food banks that have become even more vital to many during the Coronavirus pandemic. We donated a total of £2,700 to 18 local food banks across Shropshire and Herefordshire. This follows a previous grant of £2,700 to Ludlow Food Bank to improve their storage facilities.
