Tuesday 19 November

Some of Connexus' services may be disrupted today due to the snow, making access to some of our more rural areas difficult. We will still try and attend pre-booked appointments if we can but will be prioritising emergencies. If we cannot attend an appointment, we will be getting in touch with customers to rearrange an alternative appointment.

For emergency repairs call: 03332 31 32 33

Sandpits Surgery: Tonight’s drop-in surgery in Ludlow for Sandpits customers is postponed due to the weather conditions. We will be in touch with customers with an alternative date and time.

Herefordshire Housing Related Floating Support Service & Mediation

What we do

Connexus is a not-for-profit housing association which offers rented accommodation across Herefordshire and Shropshire. We have been providing good quality affordable homes and housing support for many years.

Working with Herefordshire Council, Connexus delivers valuable services to people 16 years and over who need housing related support across Herefordshire.  We help people sustain their current accommodation, or to find settled accommodation.

We can support people with most worries or concerns, but where we can’t, we work closely with other partner organisations to ensure everyone that we support is able to access the right help and advice at the right time.

What can we support you with?

  • We can provide support, coaching, mediation, advice, guidance and emotional support to anyone over the age of 16 if you are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or sofa surfing.
  • Help with finding your own home.
  • We can work with you to make Homepoint applications and show you how to bid for a property.
  • Support to access and register with a GP, dentist, and other medical professionals.
  • Feeling isolated, we provide group sessions, drop ins, training, activities, and community engagement.
  • Struggling with debt and need help with budgeting.
  • Recently moved into a new property and need some help with household bills and skills.
  • Looking to improve your opportunities in work, education, training, and volunteering.
  • Looking to see if you are eligible for any grants, or support to apply for white goods, and with household items sourced through local schemes.
  • Experiencing a relationship breakdown and need some additional support.
  • Have unresolved conflict within a relationship, workplace or at home needing resolution via mediation to help build positive relationships and outcomes.
  • Are in any form of crisis and need some guidance, and support on what to do next.
  • Experiencing difficulties in the family home.
  • Concerned about your personal safety.
  • Building self-confidence, and resilience to maximize independence.

Mediation

We have trained mediators who can work with young people (16-25), their families and support networks to help solve problems in their lives. This can include neighbourhood disputes, anti-social behaviour, relationship breakdown, or disagreements at home. Our mediation team can help find solutions and bring people back together.

If you would like more information on how mediation can help you and what the process is, please contact us and speak with one of our accredited mediators who will be on hand to help with your enquires.

Our Prevention Support Officers are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

How to make a referral

If you would like to be supported by one of our team please contact us directly, or if you are already working with another organisation they may contact us on your behalf.
