When did you start with us?
I joined the company back in September 2004
What were your first impressions of the team and company culture?
When I started, I worked for Herefordshire Housing (which became part of Connexus in 2017). I've worked in various teams within Connexus, I love the culture.
What’s your career journey been like up until now?
I started as a plumbing apprentice with the company and was working alone at the age of 18. Connexus then put me through my Gas qualification, which helped me become a Gas Engineer. I worked as a Gas Engineer for approx. 10 years, before applying for the position as a Property Surveyor. Since becoming a surveyor, Connexus has supported me to qualify as a domestic energy assessor. I’m now hoping to gain a degree.
What made you choose to work with Connexus above another company?
The offer to learn while I earnt, with varied work including repairs and installations. There was also the opportunity to progress within the company.
What have been your impressions of Connexus so far?
Lots of change, which has opened new doors and opportunities.
