Spring is in the air in Market Drayton
Last month our Independent Living Scheme in Market Drayton won the ‘Spring is in the air’ competition, to have our communal gardens renovated. The competition was run by Bamford Doors, Entrotec & KMS.
Jeanette Randall manages the Independent Living scheme at Normanbrook Court, Market Drayton. In her entry to the competition, she said: “The scheme consists of a block of 26 flats that are surrounded by a few borders and patches of small land, which were in need of makeover. It has a public walk through, which small children use to get to their school.
Residents could sit outside and watch the birds and look out for any small animals that may use our garden as their home. It would give them such a lift. In what has been an awful time for them”
Carrie is our eldest tenant on the scheme, she is 101 years old and she loves her new bench.
“Absolutely out of this world. Wonderful. Very pleased with the jet washing of the paths too, has made a huge difference. Would like the raised beds and borders at the front of the scheme tided up now.”
Another tenant Christine asked for the tree to be cut away from her window.
“Now let’s so much light through hand the gardens are looking lovely and tidy. The team worked very hard and was nice to hear all the laughter”
Thank you so much Bamford Doors, Entrotec & KMS for choosing Normanbrook Court as your winner for the competition, they love their renovated garden
