Passivhaus development wins at Structural Timber Awards

Connexus is celebrating another prestigious industry award win after our innovative Passivhaus development scooped the Low Energy Project of the Year Award at the Structural Timber Awards 2019.

The Callaughtons Ash development in Much Wenlock, Shropshire, was a truly collaborative scheme, designed by Architype and utilising the construction expertise of Lowfield Timber Frames and contractor S J Roberts. Callaughtons Ash was also nominated and highly commended in the Social Housing Project of the Year category.

The cutting-edge properties at Callaughtons Ash are amongst the first affordable homes in the UK to achieve the coveted PassivHaus Standard, which encourages developers to design and build eco-conscious properties with high levels of fuel efficiency and air quality. You can read more about the development here.

ā€œIā€™m delighted to see this forward-thinking development receive the recognition it deserves. This award reflects the spirit of collaboration and partnership that has seen Connexus deliver energy-efficient homes to this rural community.ā€
