Gardening Competition Winners 2023
We’re pleased to announce the winners and runners-up of the 2023 customer gardening competition.
There were four categories to enter; best indoor garden, best community garden, best individual garden and young gardener award, and we received plenty of great entries. Thank you to everyone who entered the customer gardening competition.
And the winners are...
- Best indoor garden
Winner – Malcolm, Craven Arms
Runner up – Diane, Bishops Castle - Best community garden
Winner – Fairfields, Whitchurch
Runner up – Roman Downs residents association, Craven Arms - Best individual garden
Winner – Mark and Sheila, Garway
Runner up - John, Baschurch - Young gardener award
Winner – Ollie, Church Stretton
Runner up – Layla, Bishops Castle
Richard Woolley, chief executive and Sian Davies, customer experience officer visited the winners and runners-up to present their vouchers. Prizes were awarded in each of the categories - £50 for the winner and £25 for the runner-up.
Best individual garden winners Mark and Sheila who had totally transformed their garden. The garden was very overgrown when they started, but now they’ve added paths, a pond for wildlife, flowers for the various seasons, summer vegetables and chickens for eggs. They shared “they both enjoy doing the garden it has taken a lot of work to get it to look like it does today, but it probably will have some changes if the future.”
