Lunch Club celebrates 30 years
The team at the Lunch Club

Back in 1990, Church Stretton residents Margaret Harmer and Betty Lewis founded the Lunch Club, a place for local people to meet, chat and enjoy a delicious hot meal. Fast-forward 30 years and the Lunch Club is still going strong - and Margaret and Betty are still part of the volunteer team that makes this possible!

Now held at our Ley Gardens Independent Living Centre, the Lunch Club is organised by the ever-dedicated Betty Lewis;

"This event is so much more than just somewhere to get a hot meal," Betty explained. "The Lunch Club encourages new friendships and helps to combat isolation, which can be a real issue in our rural communities."
